About Me

My name is Eddie Crombie, and I am a lifelong resident of Channahon. I have a deep appreciation and passion for our remarkable community. My entire childhood education was spent in Channahon, from Kindergarten in 1989 until I graduated from Minooka High School in 2002.

I served this community as a volunteer firefighter for Minooka from 2001 until 2007, when I transitioned to a career as a Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of Joliet. In 2012, my wife, Clarissa, and I decided to return to Channahon so our daughters could be raised in such an exceptional community.

I am the proud father of four daughters, all of whom are currently attending or have attended the Channahon schools. My oldest daughter graduated from Channahon Junior High in 2024, while I have one daughter in the seventh grade and twins in the second grade. As my children have grown older, I have more time to contribute to the community that has provided so much to me.

As a school board member, I believe I have a significant contribution to make to the community. As a graduate of Channahon Schools, I am well-versed in the history of our community and have witnessed its remarkable growth into an exceptional place to live. As a father of four Channahon School students, I am deeply committed to ensuring that the district continues to provide an outstanding education. Additionally, as a Captain for the Joliet Fire Department, I possess the skills and experience to quickly identify and resolve challenges.
